I am a rising Junior at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service studying Global Business. At Georgetown, I am the Vice President of Venture Capital in Georgetown's VC club, a Micro Economics Teaching Assistant, and presented a TEDx talk titled "The Economics of Quitting" in Georgetown's flagship Gaston Hall. Watch the talk at EconomicsofQuitting.com
I'm currently a Venture Capital Intern for TCP, a seed/Series A Go-To-Market recruiter with a $30 Million early-stage VC fund that built the early GTM teams at AirTable, Ramp, and Rho. I also intern for Sequoia-backed human-in-the-loop executive assistant Clara Labs (Y Combinator S'14), where I am a Summer Growth Intern.
Clara is my third internship at a Y Combinator-backed startup, as I've previously interned for SoftBank/A16z-backed Web3 infrastructure provider QuickNode (YC W'21) last spring, as well as in-person for Kaszek-backed telecommunications provider Somos Internet (YC W'21) in Medellín, Colombia last summer.
In addition to my interests in venture capital and technology, I am also very interested in international relations and worked on Capitol Hill as a Foreign Policy Intern for California Senator Dianne Feinstein last summer and as a China Research Intern for the State Department this spring. Specifically, I have become fascinated with Latin America.
I spent the summer of 2018 with a host family along the Dominican-Haitian border, as well as the spring of 2021 during my Georgetown freshman year taking my remote-only classes from an eco-reserve in Costa Rica, and worked during the summer of 2021 for Somos Internet (YC W'21) in Medellín, Colombia. This fall, I will also be studying abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina through a program that includes in-person study excursions to Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
Combining these interests together inspired me to start Semilla.VC is a podcast about Latin American Venture Capital, Technology, and Society to highlight the most extraordinary figures in the region's tech ecosystem. Feel free to watch the first episodes here (Youtube.Semilla.VC) or listen to them here (Apple.Semilla.VC)
I also invited and interviewed Mark Farrell, the 44th Mayor of San Francisco, to come to Georgetown and discuss both his time as Mayor and as Managing Director of Thayer Ventures, Silicon Valley's preeminent travel and hospitality-focused VC fund. Watch the interview at MarkFarrell.Tripg.me
